Embrace the Unique Year End Opportunity to Change

8250027It is not the end of the world today 21.12.2012 but it is an opportunity for renewal. This Friday at the stroke of solstice (4:12 a.m. Mountain Standard Time), the Maya Long Count calendar will click over to read “13.0.0.0.0,” (pronounced “thirteen b’aktun”) for the first time in 5,125 years.

Dr. Jaime Awe, Director of Belize’s Institute of Archaeology and part Maya himself, says that 2012 “represents the ending of one cosmological cycle, and the beginning of another. It’s very much the way most people would look at the end of one year and the beginning of another, but over a very, very long period of time. It is a time for reflection, and for considering future direction. “As December 21, 2012 approaches, “a better world is possible! That is my grana de maize,” my grain of corn, he said, “As we enter the age of the fifth sun.”

Another K’iche’ elder, don Alejandro Cyril Pérez Oxlip, made this prediction: “With a new social order there comes a time of freedom where we can move like the clouds, without limitations, without borders. We will travel like the birds, without the need for passports. We will travel like the rivers, all heading towards the same point…” source: http://huff.to/12stsA3

According to the holistic community, the year concludes a cosmic cycle and planetary alignment encouraging new cosmic energies to enter the earthly atmosphere. Whether you accept this or not is immaterial, but change is definitely afoot on the earth. Even established societies are struggling to hold onto their economic positions and find solutions to the fragmented structures occurring worldwide.

So what should you do just in case?

1.    Release old things that no longer serve you – this is your opportunity to dissolve them in the old calendar not to return in your new age.

2.    Be crystal clear about what you want and put it out there.

3.    Embrace change – life is a journey.

4.    Commitment to a daily spiritual practice – that works for you.

5.    Embrace your power. (Source: Martina Grubmueller)

Take a leap of faith and embrace the opportunity of an event that has taken 5,125 years to create.

I have written my gratitude list. I constantly work on dissolving things that no longer serve me, I meditate to released any residual emotional; finishing with yoga. I have made a promise of my future and will reflect on this at 12noon, 9pm and 12midnight.  I am looking forward and know it will be an amazing new age.
